Thursday at the 2009 South Norwood Arts Festival

Day 2 of the 2008 South Norwood Arts Festival sees the very welcome return of harpist Keziah Thomas, music from the Catalina Blues Band, a photogrpahy workshop with Andrew Gilpin, a fantastic music jam for talented teenagers and several daytime events.

Renowned harpist Keziah Thomas returns to the Arts Festival for the third year. The crowds were big in the first year, huge in the second and the appreciation for her art continues to grow in our community. She brings us a different show every year and we don't yet know what it will be this year but one thing is for sure - it will be unmissable and a lot of people will be there!

If you like your music down and dirty get yourself to the Gold Coast for a night of Brit Blues with these guys. Harmonica, slide guitar and covers of classic blues tracks of every kind are the order of the day and judging by the dancing going on in the bar last year it will be a good night!

Croydon Music Jam

Stanley halls, South Norwood Hill. 12:00 to 5:00 pm. FREE!!!
This is a fantastic opportunity for 13-19 year olds to develop skills in beatboxing, mixing, lyric writing and more. It is also a great chance to meet other talented teenage musicians from around Croydon. This is a day time event so if you're still at school check with your teachers to see if your school is taking part and if they're not give them the details so they can get involved!

Holy Innocents Open Days

TheHoly Innocents Church, Selhurst Road. 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. FREE!!!
Holy Innocents will be opening their doors to the public for three days culminating in a Fun Day on Saturday that will include stalls, games, snacks and a prayer flags display. Throughout the Open Days you will be able to view the entries to the "My South Norwood" photography competition, take part in art projects and events and you can even come down and make your own Prayer Flag.

Prayer Flag sessions run from from 11 - 4 each day and all the flags will be used to decorate the church on Saturday's Fun Day.
