PPR are pleased to announce that the Holy Innocents Church have chosen to participate in the Arts Festival. They are hosting a number of events and are opening their doors for 3 days of daytime activities.
The arrival of digital cameras has made photography more popular than ever and this is a great opportunity to learn to get the most of your camera with a workshop by a professional photographer. Whether you are an SLR enthusiast or a holiday snapper there is something for you here. Bring your camera with you.
An evening of music and poetry
Friday 12th June. From 7:30 pm. £3 Adults £1 Children
Enjoy music on the violin, piano and in song as well as performances by a brass quintet and local choir.
Guitar under the bed? Flute in the attic? Dig out your old instruments and come along for a session of guided improvisation for beginners. All levels of player and singer welcome. No experience needed. If you can play even one note you can join in. Catherine Pestano will use a sequence of exercises called Search and Reflect to show you how you can create amazing music with other people and have a great time doing it. Suitable for age 8 upwards to 108!
Holy Innocents will be opening their doors to the public for three days culminating in a Fun Day on Saturday that will include stalls, games, snacks and a prayer flags display. Throughout the Open Days you will be able to view the entries to the "My South Norwood" photography competition, take part in art projects and events and you can even come down and make your own Prayer Flag.
Prayer Flag sessions run from from 11 - 4 each day and all the flags will be used to decorate the church on Saturday's Fun Day.
