This year South Norwood Library welcomes back writer Ruth Webb to deliver her talk on D.H.Lawrence. Ruth appeared at the the library at the first festival with a different talk.
Published biogrpher Ruth Webb marks last year's 100th anniversary of D.H. Lawrence's arrival in Addiscombe to teach at Davidson Road school by telling us about his time living and working in the area. Since her appearance at last year's festival, Ruth has done a great deal to raise the profile of DHL around Croydon by arranging for a plaque to be mounted in his honour and by organising a string of events.
